You may have an out of pocket expense for your anaesthetic. The presence and size of this out of pocket expense will vary depending on the complexity of your procedure, the duration of your procedure, and whether it is out of hours (ie out of business hours, overnight or is an emergency case).

You will be advised of any gap and given an accurate estimation of the gap amount 1-2 days prior to your procedure. If you are not advised of this or you are unsure or you have more questions or would like an estimate sooner, please contact Dr Maghami’s rooms before your procedure. An estimation of the gap will not be possible in emergencies, in this case Dr Maghami’s rooms will contact you in the days after the procedure with an invoice.

*Please note your out of pocket expense will also vary depending on your health fund - for example unlike other health funds, HBF will rebate their members less if there is a gap, which leaves their members with a larger out of pocket expense than patients with other health funds.
